Celebrating 20 Years of ELF’s Impact on JBHS Students and Teachers

Dear JBHS Families,
I’d like to take a moment to highlight the tremendous impact that the Easton Learning Foundation (ELF) has had on our students and staff at Joel Barlow High School. Over the past two decades, ELF has been an invaluable partner in supporting innovative teaching and enriching student learning across every area of our school.
Through the generous donations of families and community members, ELF has provided funding for projects that directly benefit all JBHS students. Their support has helped bring creative, hands-on learning experiences to life, such as:
Grants to support our STEM and Robotics teams, expanding opportunities for students to explore engineering and technology.
An Augmented Reality Sand Table for our Physical Science classes, which transforms abstract concepts into interactive, real-world experiences.
A Chromebook cart to enhance learning in our NGSS-aligned science curriculum.
Most recently, a glass whiteboard wall for our Math Center where students can problem-solve together and visually share ideas.
These are just a few examples of how ELF’s commitment has made a lasting difference at JBHS. Their efforts have empowered teachers to innovate and provided students with resources that foster curiosity and creativity.
I know families receive many messages and requests throughout the year, but I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about ELF and consider supporting their mission. They are celebrating their 20th Anniversary Party on November 20 from 6:00–10:00 p.m. at Testo’s Restaurant in Monroe. For more information on the Anniversary Party or ELF please follow the link to the Easton Learning Foundation.
On behalf of our staff and students, I want to extend our sincere gratitude to ELF for their continued generosity and partnership.
With appreciation,

Please note the date of ELF's 20th Anniversary Party is November 8, from 6-10, not November 20 as was originally posted.
I would like to highlight that the online auction runs from Nov 1-9 and has many great items for JBHS students (including a full drivers ed course, SAT prep, and parking pass, etc). The auction is open to ALL parents and community members in Redding and Easton.
