Students between the ages of 14 and 18 years are eligible for working papers.

In order to receive working papers, Joel Barlow High School students must bring the Promise of Employment letter filled out and signed by the employer. Students who do not attend Joel Barlow High School but reside in Easton or Redding must bring a completed Promise of Employment letter and one of the following: a birth certificate, current passport or driver’s license. 

Please note we cannot issue working papers for employment in another state.

Working papers are available in the Student Services Office, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm during the school year. We can issue working papers during school vacations and during the summer break by appointment.
