Activity Period
Activity period occurs during the school day on alternating Fridays and affords all students the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of clubs and organizations during the school day. Student involvement in the Student Activity Program is a very important part of school life, and it is expected that all students take an active part in Activity Period.
A listing of clubs, activities, and organizations that meet during the activity period is included on the Activity Sheet that is shared with students. This listing of activities is revised throughout the school year as new clubs are formed.

After School Extra Curricular Activities
Additional clubs and organizations meet regularly after school. Many of these are competitive teams preparing for upcoming competitions.
A list of these activities can be found on the JBHS After School Activities Guide.

Student Activity Participation Fee
A participation fee is required for students participating in certain extra-curricular activities. These funds are used to offset stipends for coaches and advisors.
The annual Student Activity Participation Fee is $30 per student. This fee shall not exceed $30 per year per student, as the participation fee covers a student’s participation in one or more clubs for any part or all of the school year. This fee only refers to student activities. A separate participation fee is required for interscholastic athletics, which should be submitted separately with its own form to the Athletic Office.
Student Activity Participation Fees may be paid by submitting a check (preferred) or cash to the main office along with a Student Activity Participation Fee form or through MySchoolBucks once invoiced.
