Loan-To-Own Program

ER9 LogoJBHS Loan to Own Program | Chromebook Lease Option for the 2025-2026 School Year

Would you like to have access to a significantly upgraded school Chromebook starting in 2025-2026? Consider the JBHS Loan-to-Own Program. ER9 is excited to offer students/families the opportunity to lease a new and upgraded Chromebook for $100 a year, $400 in total. Once the student graduates and has paid $400, the student/family fully owns the Chromebook. The Loan-to-Own program is designed to help students and families by offering an upgraded Chromebook at an affordable price. How good is the upgrade over the regular Chromebooks, you ask?

  • Larger 14” screen (vs 11” screen) equals a 27% larger viewing area (better for writing/testing)
  • Much faster processor (4.4 GHz compared with 1.1 GHz)
  • Double the RAM allows for smoother and faster task completion
  • 128 GB memory/local storage (vs 16 GB)
  • Summer/full year access for better year-round communication/access to school resources
  • Ownership after four years/$400 (pass it on to younger siblings, use it as a family device)
  • The device is managed by ER9 until graduation, but any user with a Google email account can use it

Insurance Coverage: This program is designed to protect students and families in the event that the Chromebook is damaged or malfunctions due to no fault of the student, plus the Chromebook comes with a 1 year full parts and labor warranty, all at no extra cost. All four years are also covered by accidental damage insurance coverage while the student is enrolled in JBHS: 100% coverage for the first incident; 50% coverage for the second incident (fee is due prior to picking up a repaired/replaced unit); 25% coverage for the third incident* (fee is due prior to picking up a repaired/replaced unit).

Cost: The cost for the “Loan-to-Own” program is $100 per year for four years or $200 a year over two years. Alternatively, the parents/student can simply purchase the device outright for a total of $400.
